"Sounds bad... Care to share?" Studying Yusuke's devilish grin out of the corner of her eye Ayase waited to take a note if his mood shifted at the personal question. From what she'd seen so far Yusuke was a fairly open person with his feelings so why not with his past? Around the two the forest was relatively silent. Only the gentle words passed between the two demons and screeches from a brown owl broke the veil of silence that rested over the dark thicket.

"Though that's all in the past. Now I'm just heading for the horizon. Not really much more to say about it."
Under his gentle exterior he waged his own silent war within himself. Fighting off memories of a past best left forgotten, atleast till the time comes. To ward of the uncormfortable silence, he had to say something.
"Your hand... is warm..." He meekly spoke, feeling stupid once he realized he said anything.

Ah, so whatever this memory was it had to be pretty bad. Dropping her little game for a moment as Yusuke began mumbling about her hands. Squeezing his hand softly Aya drifted closer to his side keeping his face in sight as it once again shined a beet red. "You are a terrible flirt." Shaking her head with a smile the sand demon realized once more why she loved talking to the young and naive. Taking a quick swig once again she offered the bottle back to it's owner the soft smile on her face never fading.

Giving a nervous laugh. "Gomen, Ayase-san. This is the longest amount of time I'm spent with anyone in a long time."
About 200ft ahead, a small hut sits nestles near a tree. It's appearance is dull with no distinguishing features. Atleast it appears sturdily built.
"Home sweet home."

"Just Aya is fine Yusuke." Catching a glimpse of the shabby cottage made a yearn for her own home sweet home burn in her chest. Homesickness? Wasn't that what humans called it? "Some place you have here babe." Realizing her grip on her companions hand she began pulling out every tiny detail from the cabin. Every broken shingle, splintered board, and tuff of weeds were registered to memory as Ayase strolled closer to the hovel.

"Alright, Aya." He chuckled, "I know it isn't much to look at, but it's keeps the weather out."
Yusuke led her inside and from a cabinet he pulled out a couple sake bottles and 2 tiny cups. Placing them on an equally shappy table.
"And there's plenty to drink."

"The drinks are always plus, but you will have to come to my home some time. My walls don't look like they'll fall down..." Murmuring the last remark into her cup as she took a slow sip of the warm liquor Ayase's habit of studying kicked in as she surveyed the house's inside. Truth be told she was really searching for any of Yusuke's personal effects. Maybe a painting or some old books would point toward her mysterious friend's past life. Moving the cup to her lap as she sat cross-legged next to the small table Aya closed her eyes in defeat after her search for the past came up empty handed.

Yusuke laughed at her remark. "Well, lone wolves don't need much." He sipped a cup of sake he had just poured. "Since, I'll move on soon enough. It just has to hold up that long."
Watching her gaze pass around the hut. He had noticed her inquisitive nature earlier. Guessing now was a good enough time to indulge her a bit. He draws his butterfly swords and sets them on the table, the light from the fireplace revealed the green tint reflected off the strange water pattern of the blades.
"Other than the clothes on my back, these are the only other posessions I own."

Once she heard the click of the swords being placed on the small table Ayase jumped to attention. "Their beautifully made." Watching the swirling design with an unsatisfiable curiosity Ayase examined the odd green blush the blade gave off. Drifting a hand in the air right above the weapon's edge. Some men got a little jumpy if you started handling their possession without permission, but Ayase wasn't the kind of woman who would care if her actions upset another. Gripping one of the blades by the handle she raised the cold metal with a glinting smile. "Were they a gift?"

Yusuke had no qualms about a woman handling his equipment. ((rim shot)) Smiling at her as she inspected his blades.
"Every member of the pack has a signature weapon. Forged at birth with the guidance of the Elder. Then we train until we've mastered them. Those are Tsuki no Kiba, Fangs of the Moon."
Pouring himself another drink.
"I remember when I received them as a pup. Back then they seemed so huge. Like broadswords." Chuckling, "I could barely keep a grip on them, much less left them for long."

OoC;; Sadly I was considering using a sick joke when talking about his swords. We're both pervs... XD
BiC;; A wolf demon huh? Picking out simple clues from the way he spoke of his childhood Ayase logged away yet another fact for her mental book marked Yusuke. Snicker along with her host at the image of a young demon pup struggling to raise the immense blades. "You were given these as a child? I hadn't even seen Shura until I was done my training." The swirling pool of memory gripped her as she recalled the day she was presented the simple death tool. Sadly that also reminded her of her quest... "Where will you be headed next, if you don't mind me asking." Flicking a few stray locks away from her eyes Ayase continued to muse over the strange blade in a light trance.

After having gulped down another couple glasses of liquor and his tongue being a bit loosened.
"Of course, a wolf without fangs is hardly a wolf." Sighs, "But a wolf without a pack is hardly a wolf, either."
He watched her fascinating over the blades, though he found her far more captivating. Finding someone he'd just met so beautiful made him feel a bit foolish. It seemed far too good to be true. Which it had to be. Atleast he could enjoy this moment of bliss while it lasted. That would be enough. Though, he mused to himself dreamily, it would be nice if such good fortune did come my way.
"I'm not heading anywhere in particular." He paused, "So what do you think of me? Yes, I had noticed those thoughtfully inquistive eyes."

"There's no fun in me just telling you dear." Taking one last note on Yusuke for the day before setting down the sword and knocking back a few warm cups of liquor. The poor boy was drunk already? He only had a few more drinks the herself but I guess the younger you are the harder osake hits you. A soft pink tint came to her cheeks as she took a gulp out of the field bottle before filling her cup once more. Leaning back against one of the stiff shack walls the demoness lay one of her legs out before her while keeping the other bent so her knee could act as a makeshift table.

Yusuke quietly resheathes the swords.
"Perhaps." Downing another glass. Silently chastizing himself for letting his eyes wander over her lithe body. Knowing that she'd most likely noticed his actions some time ago. Sighing, he wondered what had gotten into him.
"So, Since I've indulged you a bit. How about you tell me a bit about yourself, Aya?"

Smiling as she caught his eyes wandering she took another drink from the glass bottle. "Well there isn't much really. I was born, something happened, I made friends at four and ran off at eight. For years I trained under my uncle and then I spent the next three-thousand years or so doing whoever and whatever I wanted." After the brief explanation of her life Ayase unhooked Shura from her belt and placed the beloved gift gently on the floor beside her. "Now what do you have in mind for the rest of the night?"
